Helping Solo Alert keep you connected
Solo Alert relies on your phone to send check-in reminders and notifications.
To make sure Solo Alert works as expected, it’s important to allow notifications and check that your phone isn’t restricting the app’s ability to run in the background.
Most users won’t need to change anything — but these simple checks can help ensure you receive your reminders when you need them.
Notifications must be turned on

Notifications allow Solo Alert to remind you when it’s time to check in.
To check your notification settings in the Solo Alert app:
– Open the Solo Alert app
– Select Settings

– Ensure push and SMS Notifications are turned on
To check your notification settings on your phone:

Allow Solo Alert to run in the background
Some phones automatically limit apps running in the background to save battery.
Because Solo Alert needs to send reminders at your chosen times, make sure your phone is not restricting the app.
Check that Solo Alert is:
✓ Allowed to run in the background
✓ Not set to “sleeping” or “deep sleeping”
✓ Excluded from battery optimisation (if this option is available)
Keep your phone charged and connected
Solo Alert works through your smartphone, so it’s important that your phone:
✓ Has enough battery
✓ Is connected to the internet
✓ Is switched on
✓ Has not been placed in Away Mode
Check your phone after updates
Phone updates can sometimes change notification or battery settings.
If you notice Solo Alert reminders are not appearing as expected after an update:
Check that notifications are still enabled
Restart your phone
Open Solo Alert and confirm your settings
Check your phone’s battery and background activity settings
Remember — Solo Alert respects your privacy
Solo Alert does not track your location, monitor your activity or follow your movements.
Your phone simply helps Solo Alert send reminders and keep your Safety Circle connected if you miss a check-in.
